Hi kevin,
I am a newbie to the linux world but I am learning fast, it fascinates me. I am currently running a macbook pro with OS X and running backtrack 4 through VMware Fusion. Heres a few questions if you could help:
I bought a BTA 6030 USB BLUETOOTH DONGLE in hope backtrack would find it as it wont find the in built bluetooth card in my mac. Should this work, and if not, how do i enable bluetooth in backtrack?
is it possible to dual boot a macpro with backtrack?
I cant get any devices apart from my sound card to work. Thank you for your time, Jamie.

Hi ya,

Thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge about Backtrack with others in the internet community!

If it is at all possible, could you explain, in a "How-To-For-Dummies" style, a procedure to install and execute AiroScript

http://airoscript.aircrack-ng.org/

preferably from within the Backtrack 4 GUI?

Thanks in advance!

@Matt,

Yes, you can use the installer to do an unencrypted install. Works like a charm.

I recommend people use a minimum 8GB drive and use the full disk encryption method, then install Nessus if they need it. The persistent method is only needed if you use a 4GB drive.

I am currently working on installing BT4 to a usb and have followed your Backtrack 4 - USB/Persistent Changes/Nessus 4.2 tutorial and it worked great. What I am wondering though is that in the full disc encryption one, after setting up the encrypted drives you just use the installer script that comes with BT4. Can I use that script to install a non-encrypted version of BT4? what are the benifits of running a persistent live usb compared to a full install usb?
