Thought for the day: Change your perspective.

Some of you know that I am an amateur photographer. Even fewer know that I am in the midst of a 52 week photo project. If you are at all interesting you can check it out here. There is a link to the next week's post at the bottom of each entry.

Anyway, the point of this is not to get you to look at my photography...okay....maybe that is the point a little bit 🙂

The point is that I went out this evening to take some picture of a tall cylindrical sculpture near my house. The normal, easy shot was to just stand back and snap away. However, that only gives you one perspective of the sculpture.

I laid down on my back at the base of the sculpture and took some shots looking up. It looked completely different.

And very cool.

Side note: Stay tuned to the site above for the results of that shot this weekend. Yup another shameless plug.

Sometimes changing your perspective will show you things that you missed before. So, get out of that rut and flip whatever you are working on on its head. Turn it sideways, upside down, and every which way you can. You might be amazed at what new insights you can come up with.
